MP pays tribute to Roy Waller

2.24.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 7th Jul 2010

Paying tribute to Roy Waller, who sadly passed away last night, Norwich South MP Simon Wright said:

"Roy will be greatly missed by hundreds of thousands of people who will always remember him for his great character and humour, and for his huge contribution to local life.

"I grew up listening to Roy's colourful football commentaries, which included our finest moments in Norwich City's history. He knew how to bring a game to life.

"More recently, he made a fantastic contribution to the civic life of the city, serving with great distinction as our Sheriff.

"His passing is a great loss to Norwich and all of Norfolk."
