The Liberal Democrats achieved a higher share of the vote than Labour across Norwich South constituency in the local elections on Thursday.
Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman Simon Wright says: "Labour's supporters have told me how they're anger with the government is growing. The last ten years of Blair and Brown will be remembered for the war in Iraq, and the waste of taxpayers money."
The Liberal Democrats slashed the Labour majority by nearly 5,000 votes at the last general election, and came a close second. "More and more supporters of the Greens and the Conservatives are saying that they will lend their votes to the Liberal Democrats next time to help us beat Labour in Norwich South.
The Conservatives came third last time, with the Greens in fourth with just 7% of the vote.
