Residents of Lee Warner Avenue in Fakenham have raised concerns regarding the state of the verges on their road.
I have been in contact with North Norfolk Housing Trust (NNHT), who have assured me that they will look into the issue of churning of the verges by bin lorries. They will also take the issue up with officers at the council.
I also asked NNHT for an update on a promised survey of the poor condition of the road and footpaths on Lee Warner Avenue. I am told that the survey has been completed by the Housing Trust, and that an analysis of the results is now taking place to see how much repair work is needed.
Its important that action follows. There are particular concerns regarding the safety of the elderly living in the sheltered housing on Lee Warner Avenue due to the poor condition of footways and verges.
