The local election results in Norwich yesterday were, frankly, disappointing. 6 Lib Dem losses: 4 to Greens and 2 to Labour; 3 Holds; and no gains. The Council remains in no overall control, and we wait to see what happens next in terms of who will run the council.
Charles Clarke must also be disappointed, and more than a little concerned, by the votes cast for Labour in his Norwich South constituency. Labour came third, with Liberal Democrat candidates winning the most votes in total.
If yesterday's poll was a general election, Norwich South would today have a Liberal Democrat MP.
